Born in the UK, Sarah's love of Jazz soon took her to the United States where she has since lived, in Connecticut, New York for the past 22 years! Sarah started playing clarinet aged 8 and tenor sax at 15. Later, as she developed, she took up the baritone and soprano saxophones, alongside the bass clarinet. Sarah made her UK jazz debut at age 18, and has been a favourite amongst jazz festivals and jazzers nationwide. She is proud to have been the youngest visitor to play in Preservation Hall, New Orleans. Sarah has played with bands all over the world. Although her main love is the revival style of New Orleans jazz, she is equally competent and comfortable playing in any style and has been described as a "Remarkable reed-woman" (JazFax Magazine)
